The successful candidate will have the ability to teach across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 having subject knowledge of a range of qualifications including GCSE. The History Secondary Curriculum is an important and integral part of the school, with all students studying a variety of Examinations and Specifications across the Key Stages.

History Teacher; September Start; Croydon School.

The History team have a range of academic interests and teaching experience and is a close-knit and supportive group that works collaboratively to meet the department's needs. Responsibility is very much shared, with staff having the opportunity to lead on individual initiatives, extension activities, or year groups. Join us, and, as well as teaching across the full age range from year 9 to year 13, you will play a full role in the extra-curricular and pastoral life of the college. The post would be equally suitable for a new or experienced teacher from the state or independent sectors with excellent professional development opportunities being available for all.

The school are seeking to recruit a dynamic Teacher of History and as a valued member of our team, you will play a vital role in the delivery of the curriculum. You will work closely with the department leaders to secure outstanding provision in History and to engage young people in a love of the subject. You should also demonstrate a commitment to becoming involved in extra-curricular activities linked to History.

We are looking for candidates who:

We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning.
We are looking for a creative and dynamic teacher who will be able to contribute to the development of the History Curriculum at KS3/5.
Strong subject knowledge and you must hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree. The appointed candidate will be well supported by an excellent induction programme and access to excellent facilities for teaching and learning.
