Tradewind's Primary Support Team are currently working with a four-form entry infant school in Newham who are looking for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work with the aged 3-7 children.

This school works closely with a Junior School in the area and is a part of a local learning partnership. Together the leaders are committed to providing an excellent education to all of its students and teachers from across the federation share ideas, experience and resources in order to maintain a high standard of education for all.

This Infant School offers a nurturing environment for its students to learn, and children learn through play and exploration to foster heir confidence, curiosity and love of learning. Facilities at the school are superb and the newly purpose-built building has access to outdoor space from every classroom. There is a hall and woodland play area where students can enjoy their breaktime exploring and playing on the climbing frame.

This role will include working within the classrooms assisting various teachers and classes as well as general teaching assistant duties, which include supervising meal and play times, supporting SEN pupils and covering classes during PPA time if a teacher is unwell.

As a HLTA your time will be split in the classroom to support the teacher and also deliver the lesson to the whole class or to students who are having difficulty understanding. The role also includes taking registers throughout the day and liaising with the other support staff in the classroom. Lessons will be planned but knowledge of differentiating resources is crucial, and you may be asked to assist with marking students' work.

This HLTA role is a full time, 5 days a week and will be due to start in October 2019. Hours for this role are 8.30am-4.00pm and are non-negotiable.

To be considered for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Newham you must;

*Have previous experience working in a primary school setting.
*Have experience working across all key stages.
*Be a team player and be able to work well with other.
*Either have the professional experience in covering lessons or have gained a Level 4 certificate as a HLTA.
*Demonstrate organisation skills and be an excellent communicator.
*Ideally be located close to Forest Hill in Newham and be willing to travel there.
