Tradewind are working with a large primary school in the Sheffield area seeking a relief cover HLTA to be available for their cover needs 5 days a week from April 2021 to December initially.
The candidate will be expected to cover lessons from Nursery to Year 6 when staff are absent due to sickness or other school related business. All planning will be left and you will be expected to do only minimal marking which should not encroach onto your time.
The school are looking for someone with an adaptable and flexible approach who has a relevant HLTA or Level 4 qualification, this role would also be suitable for an applicant with qualified teacher status. Previous experience in every year group is not necessary but a HLTA with experience covering lessons at Key Stage 2 would be desirable. This school uses mainly Jolly Phonics in it's teaching of phonics across school so experience of using this would also be beneficial.
As well as covering lessons from Early Years to Year 6 you will be asked to manage small intervention groups to help children catch up on missed schooling from the lockdown period. All planning and assessment will be managed by the regular class teacher.
The successful candidate should be prepared to abide by all aspects of the schools risk assessment including any social distancing measures.
Pay £75.00 - 85.00 per day
