Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a driven Primary Teacher looking for work in Greenwich

Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding Primary teacher to help run interventions next year for a school in Greenwich. The role is a 1-year full time contract starting from September 2020. The role will be paid at main pay scale Inner London M1 - M6 £30480 - £41483.

Primary based near the river - one form entry school

This OFSTED rated Good school that is always oversubscribed is looking to recruit a Primary Teacher to run Interventions within school next year as part of a catch up programme to minimise the gap in learning that will have occurred due to the COVID lockdown and school closures. This fantastic school community has very close links to parents at home and everyone works together to get the best results possible. The school is easily accessible by public transport either the DLR or Train links direct through Greenwich. This School is around 200 students including Nursery, classes currently split into groups of 9 with social distancing. Depending on the situation in September 2020 and if distancing would remain in place then plans will need to be made to ensure all students get on the school site.

The role would be teaching across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and the successful candidate would be assessing, recording, reporting the pupil development to see how students have fared over the past 6 months, this will be done in line with Class Teachers. Once levels have been established the role of this Primary Teacher will be to deliver a balanced Intervention in line with the curriculum in a stimulating classroom environment to ensure students make rapid progress and catch up any attainment gaps missed. The role will entail constant feedback into Class Teachers and SLT to ensure the right progress is being made.

Feedback I have had from staff that work at the school is it's a warm and inviting environment for all, a really inclusive place to work that is fun each day.

After a recent refit in most classrooms, they have the latest interactive whiteboards as well as good outdoor space for students. Senior Leaders with praised in the last OFSTED report for their work to raise this school to the highest levels.

Essential requirements:

QTS (or equivalent), up to date curriculum knowledge, legal right to work in the UK, two education references covering 6 months in the past 2 years
