Are you a Primary Teacher looking for an Intervention role? Then apply for this role with Tradewind

Tradewind are recruiting for a hardworking and adaptable Primary teacher to run interventions in September 2020 for a 1-year full time contract. This Primary Teacher role in Greenwich will be paid at main pay scale Inner London M1 - M6 £30480 - £41483.

This Outstanding 2 form entry Primary School want to make sure that all the children do as well as they can and achieve their full potential. The main way they achieve this is through providing quality first teaching day to day in the classroom, which caters for the varying needs of the children in the class.

After this period of lockdown, an intervention may be necessary to further support a child's development within a area of the curriculum or to help them develop their social skills or self-confidence and self-esteem as lockdown will have had a different effect on each child. As a school, they utilise a range of specific interventions for the core subjects of English and Mathematics and for communication and pastoral care. These interventions may be one to one or in small groups. Could you deliver these types of interventions?

The school has parking available and is accessible by public transport by bus and the closest station is only 8 minutes away. The School is around 420 students including Nursery. At present the school has Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 in school with other year groups on a two-week rota, this will be continued to be reviewed as new information comes from Government with the hope that more students can be on site soon and September can be back up at full capacity.

The role would be teaching the children that are identified for intervention. They use a range of methods that include data tracking, (attainment and progress), teacher assessment, classroom observation and informal observations of the children in the classroom and in the playground. This will be an ongoing progress that has already started. Children are identified across a range of groups and are selected when teaching staff and senior leaders believe they have the capacity for further or accelerated progress at a given point, as the Primary Teacher in this post you will be key in developing these interventions and which students need further assistance.

On a visit to the school last year I saw first hand the quality of teaching on show and how students were having fun whilst learning, there was a nice atmosphere that all wanted to be there, staff and students. They have some great outdoor space and facilities for sport as well as outdoor learning.

Essential requirements:

QTS (or equivalent), up to date curriculum knowledge, legal right to work in the UK, two education references covering 6 months in the past 2 years
