Tradewind Recruitment are supporting several secondary schools in the Buckinghmshire area who are looking for intervention teachers to support their pupils in closing the educational gaps created by current events.

We are looking for Intervention staff who can start when schools expect to return in March 2021 and can continue until the end of the academic year (Potentially longer). The ideal candidate will have experience teaching or supporting KS3-5 children and be committed to the pupils progress you will be working with.

*Ideally hold Qualified Teacher Status
*Experience teaching the UK curriculum
*KS3-5 experience
*Confident, passionate, and enthusiastic about seeing pupil's progress.
*Able to work on your own initiative and collaborate with other teaching staff
*Effective communicator, team player and able to deliver exciting lessons to raise the gap

As the intervention teacher you will be required to liaise with class teachers to ensure that learning is targeted and appropriate for the children's specific needs

You will also be required to:

  • Plan effective and engaging lessons for small groups of children
  • Ensure children's social and emotional needs are catered for.
  • Use your subject knowledge and understanding to implement high quality and engaging sessions to your groups.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Address missed curriculum content and bridge the gaps to accelerate progress.
  • Report regularly to class teachers with individual pupil progress and next steps
