Are you a primary teacher who is excited by innovation and challenge, and is interested in a KS1 Intervention Teacher role?

Tradewind Recruiment are currently working with a forward-thinking and innovative primary school in Salford. The Headteacher is seeking a KS1 Intervention Teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning to undertake a full-time role starting September 2020.

This initially will be on a daily rate between £130 - £150 depending on experience.
An intervention teacher is needed for a 2-form entry Primary School in the Salford Borough to help cover and teach small groups to raise attainment across all the KS1 classes. There has been a significant improvement at the school and Ofsted noted that 'the school has been transformed into a welcoming, caring and stimulating place for pupils to learn', and children get off to a flying start in the early years due to effective leadership.
The role will include:
*Working with small groups of pupils teaching literacy and numeracy
*Plan effective resources to improve learning and understanding
*Record and report individual pupil's progress
*Attend staff meetings with SEND/ English and Maths departments

The successful candidate will:
*Have experience in a similar role
*Possess a passion for pupil development
*Be able to work on a 1:1 basis and build rapport with pupils and staff
*Provide details of 2 latest references, covering the last 5 years work history
*Possess a current DBS check or be prepared to apply for one as part of your registration
*Be committed to the safeguarding of children and young people
*Be willing to complete a face-to-face registration and satisfy several checks
*Have QTS status

The Headteacher has asked that the ideal candidate must be a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who is keen to further the attainment of pupils. You will ideally have experience in delivering a high standard of interventions and be able to show evidence of raising attainment. Knowledge of the KS1 SATs curriculum would be highly beneficial. This position would be best suited for an experienced teacher or an Outstanding NQT.
To join us and be successful in this KS1 Intervention Teacher role you will need to:
* Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
* Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK; visits to the school are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
