Tradewind Recruitment are exclusively working with a Primary Academy within Hull who are looking for a new KS1 Teacher to start with them in the new academic year. This role is temporary and initially for a term however it could extend for the full academic year. This role is suitable for both NQT's and Fully Qualified Teacher and pay will be in line with recent experience and recent pay scales.

The school is part of an academy chain in Hull which have academies, both Primary and Secondary across the local area. The school have a strong ethos of enabling children to become their best and have high standards to raise attainment.

We are looking for:
A KS1 Specialist with the ability to teach Phonics, ideally using the Read Write Inc scheme, however training can be provided
A committed practitioner, who will work within the school policies and their drive to raise pupil attainment
A Teacher who will work well within the school team, the school see their team more like a family
The school would like someone who would be interested in subject leadership in the future

The Role will be within KS1 in a single aged class, however specific year group will be dependent on the candidate. The role would require full planning, marking and assessment. You will also be required to attend parents' evenings. If possible, the ability to run an extra-curricular activity of your choice for the children would be beneficial but this is not essential.

The school is located within Hull, is accessible by public transport and there is free parking on site for drivers. This is on a first come, first served basis.

After speaking with the school, I was impressed by the conversation with the Headteacher. It is a large school with impressive modern facilities. The school also has excellent links with other schools, so the training opportunities are outstanding. The school pride themselves in being part of the local community so links with local businesses and parents is something which is important to them.

To join us and be successful in this KS1 Teacher role you will need to:
Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
You must have the legal right to work in the UK
