KS2 Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a one form entry Primary School in Littleborough, Rochdale to start in January until the Summer 2019. This is a full time, long-term role with a salary of £60 per day.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

*Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK

We are recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a small, semi-rural primary school serving not only the immediate vicinity but also the wider community. The school provides a range of professional development for teachers and teaching assistants so that the quality of provision continues to improve. The school has a caring community which is under-pinned by Christian values, and the school has recently received the Stonewall Schools Champion Award.

The school is based in Littleborough, Rochdale and is accessible via car or bus.

About the role

This OFSTED 'Good' primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their KS2 department, mainly within Years 4 and 5. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and a good knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum. You must be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role.

The role itself will involve supporting the class teachers in both Year 4 and 5, helping with the delivery of the National Curriculum. You will be required to work with small groups or students on a 1:1 basis to deliver Maths and English intervention lessons. Ideal candidates will have strong behaviour management and a good curriculum knowledge to ensure that the children have a strong base for their SATs. The school are looking for somebody who has the ability to be innovative and engaging, ensuring that the children have fun whilst making progress.
