The MDT assess students and create individualised therapy plans to support each student with their specific learning and behaviour needs. Proactively managing behaviour is central to the role of all staff at the school. You will develop a strong understand of pupils needs and develop a wide range of strategies to support pupils to engage positively in class.
Independence is encouraged with pupils being supported to grow their confidence and competence academically, socially and with life skills every day. Academic classes are taught alongside vocational and skill-based classes such as Design and Technology, Food Technology, Hairdressing and Beauty, Horticulture, Dance and Art. The school grounds are extensive with two large grass fields and many different buildings and break out spaces, including a garden for horticulture. The school is due to be rebuilt with new facilities currently being planned.
