Tradewind are currently recruiting for a dynamic, hardworking teaching assistant who can support a child in Year 3 who has additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with KS2 experience to join a wonderful school based in Hornsey, Haringey. The role is due to start in September 2020 and will continue for the full acedmeic year with the potential for a permanent placement at the end of the year in 2021.

The School:

The school is a well organised, friendly three form entry school that was rated good in a recent ofsted inspection. The school takes pride emphasis on developing children's individual strengths and staff aspire for pupils to make a positive contribution to society. You will be joining a friendly, welcoming team of staff lead by an incredibly supportive senior leadership team.

The role:

You will support a pupil in the year 3 class who has additional needs. The headteacher is keen to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who is skilled, experienced and level headed. You will responsible for helping the pupil concentrate and focus on their school work and will ensure that the child is understood, listened to and can be actively participating in lessons as well as following instructions. You will also be responsible for facilitating movement breaks when necessary, liaising with the SENCO, your class teacher, SALT, and parents. The headteacher of this school is looking for centred, calm, responsible individuals who offer experience as well as a caring, hardworking attitude to the role and the school family.

Essential requirements:

This role requires an experienced teaching assiatnt with at least one years experience in a KS2 classroom.
You will ideally be degree educated or have a relevant NVQ level 3 diploma.
You will have experience and confidence working with a pupil who has SEN on a 1-1 basis.
