Tradewind are working exclusively with an award winning and trail blazing inclusive academy seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 1 girl in one of their 3 outstanding schools in Watford.

This role will entail working 1:1 with a Year One pupil who exhibits symptoms of the autism spectrum and requires consistent support with her social and academic development. This is a part-time role working from 10:45 to 3:30 each day.
For this role, we are seeking someone who:
*Has experience supporting children with SEN, OR:
*Has extensive background knowledge in ASD or speech and language issues- we welcome applications from Psychology graduates who have specialised in child development or similar
*Has a proactive, can-do attitude to work
*Is flexible and can respond to changing circumstances around the child's needs
*Is caring, patient and an excellent communicator

The school is an average sized primary school, 2 form entry with extensive outdoor space including a basketball court and vegetable patch. There are 2 large common rooms and a state of the art sensory room. Based local to a bus stop and also a short drive to the M1 and M25, this school is great for commuters.

This role is to start after Easter and continue through to the end of the academic year with the opportunity to stay permanent within the chain.
