The Maths department is a large department of 8 teachers including a Head of Department, who is also Deputy Head, and a Lead practitioner.
Responsibilities for this Key Stage 3/ 4 and 5 Mathematics Teacher Role include:
*To promote excellence within Mathematics in order to encourage and support students in making progress that is in line with, or above expectations.
*To plan, coordinate and evaluate the department's intervention strategies.
*To promote and support teaching and learning within Maths that aspires to the highest of standards through quality leadership and support.
*Aid the promotion of Maths across the Trust and offer appropriate guidance and advice on careers towards both Higher and Further Education.
*To primarily focus on the progress of students (data analysis), actions to redress underperformance (interventions) and monitoring of learning (learning walks).
