Tradewind are working alongside an aspirational, high-achieving "Good" rated academy in the heart of the Bedfordshire area. They are seeking a Maths teacher to start in September 2019 for a minimum of a one-year contract.

Our client school hold their core values close to everything they do and are looking for a teacher to join their existing team of 14 teachers in a strong, progressive Maths department. Offering links to a number of local universities including Cambridge this teacher training school welcomes applications from NQT's and experienced teachers alike. Sixth form numbers in the school are over 400 and Maths continues to prove a popular subject within the school, with steadily increasing numbers of students achieving well in Maths at A-level and going on to read Maths at university. Attainment and results are consistently above average. Ofsted stated
"Pupils are pleasant, polite and respectful" and praised their enjoyment of school highlighted in positive attendance and inclusion in various enrichment clubs and programmes.

The school are seeking a teacher who is:

A degree in Maths and the ability to teach to KS5 is beneficial however not essential- other relevant degree qualification will be considered.

This role will entail teaching Maths at KS3 and 4, as well as contributing to the school's overall Maths provision and relevant extracurricular opportunities.


The school is located in rural Bedfordshire and easily commutable from Hertfordshire, Cambridge and Bedford, with onsite parking and a 15-minute bus ride from the local station.

To be considered for this role you will need:
-A can do attitude and passion for working with young people.
-Previous experience of working within a school as a Maths Teacher, Specialist, Instructor or Cover supervisor. Applications are especially welcome from NQT's available for September 2019 or sooner.
