Tradewind are working with an outstanding school in Hull, who require a full time Maths Teacher, to start September 2021 , until at least Christmas 2021. You will be covering an absence due to a maternity leave, so the exact length of this position is unclear, but it could last until the end of the academic year. All planning and marking associated with being a teacher is expected for this role, and for that reason payment will be in line with the national teaching pay scales (up to MPS6). For this reason all additional responsibilities (including parents evenings), are expected. This is a full time booking, but there is potential for this to be moved to a four day per week position if possible.

This school is truly leading in the area, and has fantastic teaching and learning standards in place. The department is led by an experienced and fantastic head of department, who has a wealth of resources available for all members of the department. As the department is filled with experienced staff members, the school is happy to look at applications from NQTs, or recently qualified teachers. Completing your NQT year while on a supply basis may be possible for this booking.

Ideally the school are looking for a teacher who is comfortable teaching Maths to Stage 3 and 4 students. The school does cater to 16+ students, so there is potential for the successful candidate to have A level maths on the timetable, if suitably qualified and experienced.

The school has a large onsite car park for candidates who drive, and is accessible via public transport from many areas of Hull.

The role:

• Designing Key Stage 3 + 4 Maths
• Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
• Aiding to improve the curriculum in line with the Maths team
• Completing students reports and attending parents evenings

Essential requirements:

A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
Experience working in a secondary school

All work with Tradewind requires a DBS on the update service, and collection of at least two verified references.
