Tradewind Recruitment is working with a large, fast paced Secondary School in Harrow who are seeking a Maths Teaching Assistant to join their Maths Department. This is a full-time position, offered on a long-term basis commencing in September and running until December in the first instance.



This full-time Maths Teaching Assistant position in Harrow will see you support student learning within the Maths Department. This position is particularly suited to an aspiring Maths Teacher who is eager to gain valuable classroom experience.



As a Maths Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support key students within KS3 and KS4 Maths classes ensuring they are engaged with the lesson

Work alongside class teachers and the inclusion team to differentiate lessons and create bespoke learning activities for specific students

Run individual and small group intervention for both lower set and higher ability students, focussing on specific areas of the curriculum



This position would be best suited for an aspiring Maths Teacher who is eager to gain valuable classroom experience before continuing their training to become a qualified Teacher. The successful candidate will:

Be a recent graduate holding a Mathematics degree (2:1 minimum)

Have a strong interest in education, and be passionate about helping students to achieve their goals

Have a confident, enthusiastic and caring nature, and be someone can quickly build successful relationships with students and staff members alike.

Be a hard worker, who uses their own initiative, and works well in a large team setting

Be a recent graduate holding a Mathematics Bachelor's Degree with a 2:1 minimum

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
