Are you looking for a full-time Primary music specialist teaching role at an 'Outstanding' Primary school in North West London?

The Governors of a Primary school in the Camden area wish to appoint an experienced, specialist Primary Music teacher to join their talented staff team in September 2019. This exciting role will involve teaching the Primary Music curriculum and covering for PPA across the school, from EYFS through to Key Stage 2. The position comes with a competitive salary, in line with experience (MPS 1-6 Inner London - £29,663-£40,371).

This Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' school situated nearby to Kilburn and West Hampstead in Camden are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational music teacher to join their team in September 2019. The headteacher is looking for an experienced Primary Music teacher who is keen to deliver their specialist subject from Early Years through to Upper Key Stage 2, whilst being flexible to cover for PPA across the school also when needed.

The school are looking for a Music teacher who will provide a high-quality music education so that pupils develop a love of music and develop their talent as musicians. They will coordinate extra‐curricular music activities, including any instrumental tuition provided by Camden Music Service. The Music teacher will also create music based opportunities and events both in school and the wider community and will undertake any teaching or other professional duties reasonably delegated by the head teacher.

The responsibilities of this Primary Music teacher role will include:
*Teach music as set out in the National Curriculum to all year groups. This will include teaching pupils to:
-Learn to read and write music on the stave
-Understand and use musical language - dynamics, tempo, timbre, pitch,
-rhythm, beat and texture
-Learn about a variety of styles, genres and composers
-Learn to improvise and compose on a variety of instruments
*Lead on curriculum design for music
*Work alongside instrument tutors in whole class music lessons.
*Be responsible for tutor management and support and instrument maintenance
*Rehearse and lead choirs in KS1 and KS2.
*Organise and timetable of peripatetic lessons.
*To safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and to promote fundamental British Values.

The ideal candidate for this Primary Music teacher role will:
*Have experience of leading the Music curriculum across a primary school, with QTS and a Music (or related) qualification/ degree specialism
*Be flexible in their approach to teaching pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
*Be an outstanding teacher with excellent Music curriculum subject knowledge
*Exhibit an 'above and beyond attitude'
*Have very high expectations of the school's children
*Have excellent behaviour management skills
*Demonstrate outstanding organisational skills
