Tradewind are currently working with a secondary school in South Liverpool who are looking to recruit a Music teacher who can deliver up to KS5. This position is to start September and is anticipated to continue to at least January 2022 on a temporary basis.
This is a large, welcoming school that is really going from strength to strength and has been graded with good features by ofsted. The school itself has a warm and welcoming ethos and is well known for having great leadership support due to a new Head Teacher.
The school is easily accessible by rail or bus and has an on site car park.
As a music teacher in this school, your duties will include:
- Undertaking full class teaching responsibility for music from Year 7 through to Year 13
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils, as well as on their personal and social needs
- Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and preparing students for exams in line with GCSE and A Level requirements
- Attendance at parents evenings and other relevant departmental meetings
To be considered for this music teacher position you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or UK equivalent
- Be a Fully Qualified Teacher - a completed NQT Induction year is essential
- Provide a CV with 10 years working history
- Have recent relevant teaching experience
- Be an outstanding music teacher with excellent curriculum subject knowledge
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply
for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
