Tradewind is recruiting! We are currently looking for an Outreach or Support worker to support a disengaged female pupil on a 1:1 basis in an Alternative Education setting based in Bristol. The work is full-time and will involve the use of a car and to support the young person from various central Bristol locations at times. The ability to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour is a must for this role.

Hours of work is 0830-1630 everyday Monday to Friday term-time. There is generous pay offer for the right candidate.

Previous experience is working within an Alternative Education provision, or PRU setting is highly beneficial. SEN, Youth Offending Team, or PRU experience and training with SEMH is also desirable.

This role might be ideal for you if:

-You have previous SEMH experience or Qualifications.
-You have previously worked with disengaged female pupils.
-You have experience and understanding of child development and learning
-You are available full-time and have your own transport and be willing to travel with the young person in short distances between Library/Gyms or different projects through the day.
-You are confident in managing challenging behaviour.

Location: Bristol

In return, you will have the advantage of working for an established AP with lots opportunities for growth and training in SEN as well as possibility of a contract position.
You will gain great amount of knowledge about working in a special education provision school and will be substantial support on additional needs such as Autism, Aspergers and BESD.

To join us and be successful in these teaching assistant positions you will need to:

* Have SEN Experience
Have own transport
Willingness to get Business insurance for their own vehicle.
Team-teach training is ideal. Previous experience of teaching students with behavioural issues.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
