Tradewind are looking to appoint an experienced KS1 Primary teacher to work for a fantastic three-form entry school in Bramhall, Stockport. This is a part-time job share post which will commence September 2021 and run for at least an academic year. This position will be two and half days a week and the school will pay a competitive salary that reflects your suitability and experience.

This is a fantastic school for children to be education and is a particularly large school being three-form entry. It was graded 'Good' in its most recent OFSTED inspection is regarded as a highly reputable school that is well known in the area due to established positive relationships with local families. The learning environment at this school promotes independent, personalised learning and effective teamwork through an approach which both nurtures and challenges individuals. It is in a very unique position being able to offer wrap around care for 2-11 year olds from 7:30am-6pm.

About the Role

As a teacher joining the KS1 team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking full class teaching responsibilities for a KS1 class.
  • Teaching a balanced curriculum attaining the highest standards of teaching and learning whilst allowing for creativity and cross-curricular opportunities
  • Detailed planning and delivery of lessons that are engaging, inspiring and memorable
  • Reflecting on lessons to identify and address misconceptions and understand when to revisit and reteach to consolidate learning
  • Planning targeted interventions across core subjects to bridge learning gaps and make use of support staff effectively to accelerate pupil progress
  • Keep detailed records of progress and analyse data to inform future planning
  • Work well independently as well as part of a team being open to new ideas as well as sharing knowledge of you own expertise area
  • Use modern technology to enhance learning opportunities
  • Contribute to the extra-curricular programme and wider school events

The class will be of mixed ability but due to lock down, many of this children have been remote learning during Reception and Year 1 which are crucial stages of development. As a result, the children are not as resilient and independent as they would be in usual circumstances and will need a teacher who can support them through this key stage of learning.

As part of the KS1 team, you will have full access to a range of CPD opportunities and be fully supported in your role. The school has accessible links to wider areas of Manchester and benefits from a secure car park with spaces available for all members of staff.

Essential requirements:

  • QTS Certification.
  • A minimum of 2 Years of teaching experience is desired but not essential
  • Demonstrated success in KS2 with references to support
  • Be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Overseas Police Check (if applicable).
  • Have a right to work in the UK
