If so, Tradewind may be able to help! We are working with a mainstream Primary School based in Northampton city centre (close to the weston favell shopping centre) who are looking for a flexible individual to support a young pupil in Reception who is on the autistic spectrum.

You will be responsible for supporting and working with a pupil who will be joining the School after the Easter break. The pupil has high needs and requires someone who has extensive experience working with children on the autistic spectrum.

Criteria:

• Experience working with children on the autistic spectrum.
• Supported children with Speech and language difficulties.
• Makaton and PEC's knowledge and qualifications.
• Early Years' experience (Ideally reception).
• Can work on a flexible basis (part-time & full-time).
• Happy to take on personal care.
• Confident individual, effective communicator and a good team player.
• DBS or willing to complete asap.
• Happy to register with tradewind and complete the company vetting's procedure.

This position will be starting off on a part-time basis, however you may be required to work longer hours if the pupil needs to attend sessions with outside agencies etc. Initially, the position will be mornings only (8.30am-12.30pm) and will be on a term-by-term basis due to the pupils needs. If the position comes to an end, Tradewind can support you with securing another role and can provide you work in one of the many other Schools we work with.
