Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who are in need of a pastoral tutor, to start after February half term, lasting for the whole academic year. This is a full time vacancy, and payment will be between £110.00 and £130.00 per day for this position. Your typical working hours will be 8:30AM - 4:00PM, but this will be less on a Friday.
You will be working within the exceptional SEN, Pastoral and inclusion team to ensure that all students receive a high quality of care. (Duties can be found below). This is a large team with excellent systems in place, and a fantastic atmosphere. The leaders of the department are wonderful leaders who aim to empower and develop staff members, providing training and support. You will be situated exclusively in the 6th form, and will act as a pastoral tutor to first and second year students (16-18 year olds).
The school is extremely high performing, and has an area leading 6th form for their 16+ students. There is a large, onsite car park for candidates who drive, and the school is easily accessible via public transport from the city centre, and most other areas of Hull.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Leading small group tutorial sessions in PSHE
- Offering personal and learning advice to students
- Enrol students on programmes of study
- Monitor student progress and facilitate guidance
- Interact with other staff members regarding progress
- Write references for tutees
- Record and update safeguarding concerns
Essential requirements:
Experience working with students aged between 11-18
- All work with Tradewind is subject to an enhanced DBS check and at least 2 suitable references being obtained.
- All work with Tradewind is subject to submittal of a CV with a 10 year career history
- Legal Right to Work in the UK
- Relevant safeguarding knowledge
