Tradewind recruitment are working with an excellent partnership school in Hull, who are in need of a qualified and experienced PE teacher (female) to work from after the May break (2021), for 6 weeks. You will be covering both practical and theory lessons, but all planning will be provided and no marking will be expected. For this reason, payment will be between £120.00 and £140.00 per day. This position is full time. This is a temporary contract. You will be covering a planned absence.

You will be working within a high functioning PE department, with an excellent Head of Department, who all aim to provide the best possible education to their students. A comprehensive set of lesson plans are available for the successful candidate. For this reason, no planning will be expected, although the successful candidate would be more than welcome to amend these lessons to suit their teaching style. The department are looking for a teacher who specialises in teaching PE, and can deliver this subject to Key Stage 4 students.

The school belongs to an exceptional academy trust group, that places student welfare and personal development at the forefront of everything that they do. While being renown for excellent academic achievement, it is the investment in student enrichment that is the key driver for this group. The school is a large school, that caters for students aged 11-16. There is a large onsite car park which is free for all staff members to use. This school is easily accessible from all areas of Hull and the East Riding. It is easy to access via public transport.

The role:

  • Teaching PE to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum


Essential requirements:
Experience working with students aged between 11-18

  • QTS
  • All work with Tradewind is subject to an enhanced DBS check and at least 2 suitable references being obtained.
  • All work with Tradewind is subject to submittal of a CV with a 10 year career history
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK
