If you would like to join an 'Outstanding' SEN secondary school and sixth form, then this PMLD Teaching Assistant role is awaiting your application! This is a full time, long term role, paying up to £70 a day.

About the role:

*The role will include supporting students in KS3, KS4 and KS5.
*This work has a dual educational and care element. The PMLD Teaching Assistant role will also involve assisting young people with feeding and personal care.
*Knowledge of how students learn, and P-Levels training are advantageous, as is Hoist/ Moving and Handling training.
*The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working with children with PMLD and will ensure that they are able to provide support that is tailored to students' specific needs.
* You will work with various students and a range of subject areas, as well as working collaboratively with the SENCO and classroom teachers, so you must be able to work using your initiative and follow direction when needed.

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established school, with students ranging from 11-18 years old. The school has been graded 'Outstanding' in all areas by Ofsted; the creative curriculum is a particular strength of the school's work and offers opportunities for students to take part in a wide range of additional activities. The school pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.
The school are looking for someone with the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff. You must be a professional practitioner, with a will to attain the highest standard in teaching and learning.

The school is based in Bury, with excellent transport links and parking available.

*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV with 10 years employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
