Tradewind Hull are working with one of our fantastic partnership schools in Hull, who are looking for a full time teacher of Politics to start as soon as possible. This position will last until at least Easter, with the possibility of this extending in the future. Planning and marking will not be expected for this position, so payment will be between £120.00 and £160.00 per day, depending on qualifications and experience. While this is a full time vacancy, there is potential for a part time job share for the right candidate.

You will exclusively be teaching Year 12 and 13 students, so for this reason QTS is not essential, but having a PGCE is essential. You will be teaching A Level Politics. Experience teaching A Level Politics is desirable for this position, and if no experience in teaching Politics, then a relevant qualification in politics, and teaching experience is essential. There is potential for some A Level History on the timetable, for those who are suitably qualified.

This teaching will initially be remote, for at least the next 3 weeks, so applicants from outside of the Hull area are welcome to apply for this position. However, if the schools return to teaching onsite, then there is potential for this need to stop being remote, returning to classroom based learning.

The role:

• Teaching A Level Government and Politics
• Teaching A Level History (potentially)
• Planning and marking in line with the national curriculum
• Assessing coursework
• Attending staff meetings and training days

Essential requirements:
A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
