Are you an experienced Primary teacher looking to support the learning of children in a local Luton School?
Tradewind is supporting several primary schools in the Luton and Dunstable area who are looking for an intervention teacher to support their pupils in closing the educational gaps created by current events.
We are looking for Teachers who can start when Schools expect to return in March 2021 and can continue until the end of the academic year (Potentially longer). The idea candidate will have experience teaching KS1 and KS2 children and be committed to the pupils progress you will be working with.
What we are looking for (Criteria):
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Experience teaching the UK curriculum.
- KS1 and KS2 experience.
- Confident, passionate, and enthusiastic about seeing pupil's progress.
- Able to work on your own initiative and collaborate with other Teachers.
- Effective communicator, team player and able to deliver exciting lessons to raise the gap.
As the intervention teacher you will be required to liaise with class teachers to ensure that learning is targeted and appropriate for the children's specific needs.
You will also be required to:
- Plan effective and engaging for small groups of children across years 1-6.
- Ensure children's social and emotional needs are catered for.
- Use your knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum to implement high quality and engaging sessions to your groups.
- Develop strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Address missed curriculum content and bridge the gaps to accelerate progress.
- Report regularly to class teachers with individual pupil progress and next steps.
