Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and confident LSA, to work for a Special Educational school catering for Primary aged students with communication associated difficulties. The role will be full-time and long term and it involve working with children with mental SEMH in in small groups.

School is a "good" school and caters for Primary aged pupils requires this Learning support to enable learning of their pupils. The school has extensive facilities for extra curriculum activities and alternative therapies for their students as well as:
* Small classes of up to five students;
* High staff ratios;
* Integrated therapy;
* Sensory Room;
* Music Room;
* Individual Learning areas;
* Therapy spaces;
* Horticultural Garden;
* Hardcourt and playground area;
* Forest School area.

If you have worked or studied in fields related to Psychology/Sports/Autism and are interested in working in Special needs settings with innovative methods of teaching students please contact us immediately as we have a huge demand from this school for these skills.

In this LSA role, your primary areas of responsibility will be to:
Support and enable learning of the pupil by working with them in a fun but firm manner.
Encourage the development of positive attitudes.

Have a creative and innovative approach to understand and supporting to re-engage disaffected learners in education and overcome barriers to learning.
Monitor students learning, social, emotional and behavioural progress against targets and report to the teachers of any changes.

Be aware of Safeguarding and Behaviour policies of the settings you work in and adhere to the policies.

To join us and be successful in this role, you will need to:
* Have experience in working with Primary aged SEN students.
* Be available full-time from September 2019 and can work 0830-1600
*Have Special Educational Needs (SEN) knowledge and experience working with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH); although not essential.
* Have access to your own vehicle as school is not close to public transport
*A strong desire to have an impact on the lives of vulnerable young people
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
*Have a CV covering at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK
