Are you looking for an Intervention and Learning Support Teacher role at a fantastic independent school in North West London?

An independent international school in the Camden area of North West London are seeking a full-time teacher to start in January 2020. The role is a support and intervention teaching position with responsibility for teaching small groups of lower ability and children with additional needs, and with a fantastic salary available in line with experience (£30,480 - £35,499 dependent upon experience.)

As a high achieving independent school based in central London, the school aims to attract the best teaching and administrative staff, and to maintain and build upon their successful reputation as a centre for excellent teaching and learning. A truly international school with a diverse student population of more than 70 nationalities, the school is based over three campuses in the centre of London and teach almost 20 languages. They seek to appoint staff members who have the willingness to recognise the diversity that exists in the student body, to teach from a multi-cultural perspective and to practise the highest standards of professionalism.

The responsibilities for this Intervention / Support Teacher role will include:
*Undertaking teaching responsibility for a range of groups of pupils with a variety of additional needs.
*Liaise closely with the learning support department and class teachers whilst creating plans and programmes of learning that are accessible for lower ability pupils.
*Ensuring the content and method/s of a lesson's delivery are engaging, relevant and challenging, placing appropriate emphasis on independent and evidence-based learning
*Ensuring that feedback given to students is timely, specific and helpful so that the students are able to reflect and act on their learning, in line with the school's assessment policy.
The ideal candidate for this Primary Intervention Teacher role will:
*Hold Qualified Teacher Status or NARIC accepted equivalent
*Have relevant, proven teaching experience in an international school (not essential)
*Be passionate about facilitating the learning of pupils with additional educational needs
*Have a proven record of excellent teaching, and working as part of a dynamic team
*Demonstrate an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning
*Have experience of supporting learners for whom English is an additional language
*Develop excellent and appropriate relationships with students
*Have strong IT skills and the ability to deliver integrated digital learning
*Possess a strong track record in differentiation for pupils with additional needs and have undertaken further training in this field.
