Tradewind Recruitment is working closely with a primary school in North London, which has a vacancy for a Year 5 teacher to start in September.


The School:

The school is located in Barnet, North London.

The Headteacher is established, having been at the school for a few years and has a very good leadership team. They have made significant improvements to the school in that time and are now graded as "good" by Ofsted and they are oversubscribed. The school is modern and has lovely spacious classrooms and excellent facilities and resources.

The school is close to a mainline station and has staff parking.





Salary will be I line with main pay scale(MPS), outer London, presently £28355 - £40035 pro-rata, depending on experience. There may be a TLR point available for teachers with a certain subject specialism.



The Class:

The class has a range of abilities and also some pupils with various special educational needs. They have a full-time teaching assistant and also an SEN assistant who works with small groups in the mornings. Behaviour is good and they are a friendly class who are keen to learn. The present class teacher has had a drive to improve reading skills in the class this year and they have made great progress and the children love to read! The school is lucky to have strong support from parents and carers who want their children to do well.



The role is for the academic year, until July 2021 and newly qualified teachers (NQT) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.



To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications) and experience in a UK primary classroom
Have taught in key stage 2
Have a creative approach to teaching to inspire the children in your care
