The school is part of an academy trust and the schools in the group work closely together. This school in particular is seen as the lead school in the trust, and they are used as an example of good practice. Following their most recent Ofsted in early 2019, the school were graded as "outstanding" and this is testament to the hard work and commitment from the staff.
The school is two form entry, modern and with excellent facilities. They have very good sport facilities, including all-weather courts and also specialist sports coaches.
This is a 2 to 3 form entry, with 3 classes in Year 3. The team work closely and plan together for the year group during PPA time and these plans are then fine-tuned for the needs of each class.
The school has a very good leadership team, dedicated to maintain the high standards they have achieved, whilst ensuring that the staff have a good work:life balance.
Salary will be I line with main pay scale, outer London, £28355 - £40035 pro-rata, depending on experience.
The class has a range of abilities and also children with special educational needs. They have a full time teaching assistant and also a SEN assistant who works with small groups in the mornings. Behaviour is good on the whole and they are a very likeable class, who get6 on well and want to learn.
Whilst this particular opportunity is for the Summer term only at the moment, the school may have a teacher returning overseas, so there is a strong possibility of a role being available for September. Please note that the due start is for after Easter holidays, present situation allowing.
The Year 3 teacher must:
*Have full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications) and experience in a UK primary classroom
*Have taught in key stage 2
*Have a good classroom presence and a commitment to helping children achieve their full potential.
