As the successful applicant in this Key Stage 1 role, you will be working in a Large 3 form entry Primary School which is a short distance South of the city centre. This Ofsted rated 'Good' Primary School, is currently striving for 'Outstanding' so you will be surrounded by teachers and support staff who are consistently demonstrating outstanding practice. This school is nestled between Hulme, Rusholme and Moss side and benefits from strong transport links to and from the City centre as well as a secure staff car park.

There is a strong ethos in school which is centred around high academic achievement and respect between children and staff. The school has high expectations of all their children, so they expect hard work and dedication from all their staff to achieve this.

As the successful Key Stage 1 applicant, you will have recent experience in Key Stage 1 and experience in supporting a class through Year 2 SATS is desirable but not essential.

Your main responsibilities will include.

• Undertake full class teaching responsibilities for a Key Stage 1 class.
• Thoroughly planning lessons for a Key Stage 1 class, making full use of resources that are available to you.
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils, as well as their personal and social needs.
• Teaching a balanced curriculum and ensuring that each child fulfils his or her potential by providing high levels of teaching standards.
• Creating a supportive learning environment as well fulfilling the social and emotional needs of all the children in your care.

Essential requirements:

• Fully qualified Teacher Status
• Recent experience or training in a UK Primary School
• Experience in Keys Stage 1 is desired, experience in Year 2 is desired but not essential
• The school have specified that a specialism in a core subject would be beneficial in this role.
• A proven track record with references to support this.
