Special Needs Teaching Assistant

A Primary School based in Central Birmingham specialising in supporting pupils with autism are seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join them as soon as possible, for the remainder of the academic year. This role has the potential to become a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

This successful Primary school aims to encourage and build upon young children's joy and enthusiasm for learning by providing the best possible opportunities for children to develop their abilities in a supportive and caring environment.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work within a driven and supportive staff team who aim to develop confident, caring, independent children, who direct their learning alongside adults who join them in their encounters and enhance their learning.

To be considered for this position you must
Hold a minimum of a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification and already have school based experience
experience in supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with autism
Already have or be happy to apply for an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
You CV must have a 10 years employment history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
