Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding RE teacher for a very popular school in Bristol. The role is starting ASAP (we will wait for the right candidate) to cover long term sick leave. This includes planning and marking so we will pay to scale for the right candidate.

The Academy is Ofsted Good and is a vibrant, diverse and dynamic setting in the centre of Bristol. It is easily accessible by train, bus or car and a large car park is available for staff parking. This Academy is part of a large trust which has a good reputation locally.
The role includes working with students in years 7 through to 10 and you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. The Humanities team is a large team of 12 staff and they are all very supportive, friendly and helpful. There will be schemes of work in place for the RE lessons, and this role may also include covering other subjects on the odd occasion.

The Academy is well equipped with excellent facilities for both staff and students. The students are a diverse group of young people who vary in ability from low level learning up to high achieving. You will need to offer strong differentiation to be able to provide quality lessons for all of the students. The leadership team are friendly, supportive and want every student to succeed no matter what their ability or background. The school has strict behaviour policies that must be followed at all times as some challenging behaviour is present in this inner-city school. In general Supply teachers enjoy their experience of working at the school, we usually receive very positive feedback about the school from our supply teachers.

Essential requirements:
To be successful in this role you will need to hold QTS and specialise in RE preferably, or in another humanities subject but with proven experience in teaching RE up to GCSE. NQT's will certainly be considered and the school offer great training and support for new and trainee teachers. You must be passionate, enthusiastic, enjoy a challenge, be calm, patient and be able to build solid relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
