Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an outstanding Teacher of Religious Education for a fantastic opportunity at one of our Wigan secondary schools. Our client is looking to appoint a Religious Education Teacher to a long-term position starting in September 2021. This position is likely to continue for the full academic year. Our client school are happy to consider applications from Early Career Teachers, RQTs or experienced teachers.
The successful candidate would be joining an Ofsted rated 'Good' school with excellent standards of behaviour. The Headteacher of this school is described as providing unassuming and unequivocal leadership with a determination of getting things done and improving the quality of education for the pupils. This faith based school has excellent transport links and is situated nearby the M6 motorway and A580.
The Religious Education department at this school play a huge part in the schools philosophy of providing an education based on gospel values. The successful candidate will join this integral department and teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, teaching the AQA Religious Education specification at KS4.
To join us and be successful in this Religious Education Teacher role in a Wigan secondary school you will need to:
* Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
* Have experience of teaching Religious Education to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
