We are glad to be working with a special school in Somerset area, who are looking to recruit a tutor to teach Maths and Science to their Secondary aged pupils with SEMH and ASC. The role is to start full-time in April to continue at least until end of the term, possibly longer to teach these subjects to their students with ASC, SEMH and Asperger's.

Our school is based near Frome and Trowbridge, and it is within a commutable distance from surrounding areas such as Bath and Chippenham and Westbury. The school caters for learners with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is an excellent opportunity to join a school with a fantastic support structure and offers exceptional resources and further training for all staff that work there.


This role might be ideal for you if:

• You have previous Maths and/or Science Teaching experience in SEND school or similar setting.
• You hold a Qualified Teacher status (Pre or Post 16) or a degree or equivalent.
• You have previously worked with young people with Autism or Behavioural issues and have a keen interest developing the learning and emotional well-being of students with SEN.
• You are available full-time from April 2021.
• You have a flexible and conscientious approach.
• You are looking for a long-term position if not a permanent one.
