Science specialist required for Outstanding school in Surrey (West London border)

Tradewind are currently looking for an experienced and qualified General Science teacher for an Outstanding Independent Boys school in Surrey (on the border of West London).

The role is a full time, long term position starting in April (or possibly sooner) and is to replace a permanent member of staff.

Pay will be competitive and based on both experience and suitability.

This excellent independent school is in surrey on the border of West London (short train ride from Clapham Junction), has excellent transport links and parking on site.

The school is Outstanding in all areas and is considered to be one of the top schools in the country.

As a Science teacher, you will be expected to…

  • Plan, prepare and teach KS3 & KS4 Science across all abilities (the ability to teach A Level Physics, Chemistry or Biology will also be an advantage).
  • Deliver dynamic, engaging lessons (both remotely and in the classroom).
  • Have excellent differentiation skills.
  • Have a positive approach to teaching and a proactive attitude.
  • Have good classroom management skills.

Science teacher Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to engage with and inspire students.
  • The flexibility to get involved with extra-curricular activities.
  • Ability to plan and deliver effectively differentiated lessons across the curriculum.
  • Attend staff and parent meetings.

Science teacher - Job Requirements:

  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • Hold QTS or a UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or overseas Police clearances (if applicable)
  • Secondary school trained
  • Excellent subject knowledge
