About the School - Science Teacher - Hackney, East London

This large, successful Academy school located in Hackney is looking to appoint a new teacher of science from any specialism. The post will be to teach from key stage 3 through to A-Level. The school has been transformed over the past 10 years and is now recognised as one of the best Academy schools in the country. It has been widely used as a blueprint for other schools to follow and is proud of the education it provides for its students, many of whom are from challenging backgrounds. This school has achieved excellent results throughout (GCSE for 5 A*-C's last year was 79%) and has done this via a mixture of a curriculum that excites the students and through strict discipline in the form of a consistent behaviour system. There are very few behaviour issues at this school due the way the school deals with any issues. Students understand what is expected of them and what the outcomes of poor behaviour are.



Role requirements - Science Teacher - Hackney, East London

An experienced or Newly Qualified Science Teacher with the ability and desire to teach Physics, Biology and Chemistry to GCSE and one of these subjects at A-Level.
The desire to work in a progressive inner-city school with high pupil premium and EAL, but with students that are making excellent progress.
A teacher who has the ability teach consistently good or better lessons.
As a progressive school that is still keen to develop further they are looking to appoint a colleague who is keen to continue developing their own practice using all CPD opportunities on offer.
