Tradewind Recruitment is working with a progressive, inclusive Secondary School in Brent who are seeking a Science Teaching Assistant to join their team in the new Academic year. This is a full time position that will commence in September and run until the end of the academic year in July 2021.



This position would particularly suit an aspiring Science Teaching who is keen to gain valuable classroom experience before undertaking further training to become a Science Teacher.



As a Science Teaching Assistant at this Secondary School in Brent, you will:

Provide academic, social and emotional support to KS3 and KS4 students within the Science Department to encourage and motivate them within class to achieve their best

Work alongside class teachers and the inclusion team to differentiate lessons for key students with differing learning needs and abilities

Create bespoke learning activities for key students to help them reach their specific goals

Assist within practical Science lessons





The successful candidate for this Science Teaching Assistant position in Brent will:

Be a recent Science Graduate (2:1 minimum) who is interested in a career as a Science Teacher in the near future

Be an individual who is passionate about helping students to become the very best versions of themselves

Have a confident, caring and engaging nature, who is a proactive individual who uses their initiative

Be a hard worker who works well both independently and in a large team setting

Be a recent Science Graduate holding a 2:1 minimum degree
