Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of one of our client schools in Cheshire. The school are looking to appoint a part-time Science Technician (15-17.5 hours per week) to start in September 2020. This position would be temporary in the first instance however for the right candidate, it could become permanent. The working days will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

This 11-18 Ofsted Rated 'Good' school is accessible via the M6 motorway and the A54. It is easily accessible from the towns of Middlewich and Congleton and within commutable distance from Northwich.

As a Science Technician at this Cheshire school your key duties will be to provide a practical, daily technician service to members of the teaching staff in the Science department through preparation and provision of equipment, apparatus and chemicals to enable pupils to carry out laboratory experiments. When preparing experiments and chemicals you will be fully aware of Health and Safety procedures and COSHH regulations.

To be successful in your application for the role of a Science Technician, you must:
* Hold a Bachelors Degree in a Science related specialism
* Have experience of working in a laboratory setting- a school setting is desirable but not essential
* Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure (or be willing to apply for one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks (covering the last two years)
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
