Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Science Technician to work in a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. They are keen to recruit a Graduate with a strong Chemistry or Biology. A min of 1-2 years lab experience is desirable.
The role is to start the 19th April through until the end of the academic year in the first instance. The role is full time (term-time) Monday - Friday 8.15am to 4.00pm, £10-12.00ph.
In this role, the successful Science Technician will be supporting the Science Department across KS3 to KS5. The successful Technician will be working closely with the Head of Department and Senior Technician to ensure a seamless running of the Science laboratories, providing technical support to teaching staff and students. Duties will include preparing for practical tasks, laboratory and equipment maintenance for Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to A level, managing stock levels and ensuring COSHH and Health and Safety standards are adhered to at all times.
A degree is science is essential for this role. Previous school experience will be highly regarded.
This secondary school grades are consistently outstanding and the progress the students make places the academy as one of the top schools in the country. Located in Tower Hamlets the school also has excellent links to public transport.
