An Outstanding SEN School in Hounslow is looking for experienced Primary Teachers to work with students requiring Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Support. The school specialises in supporting primary aged students, with most classes having both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. Although the school supports students with SEMH needs, most pupils will have additional Special Educational Needs. Knowledge of and/or experience with Autism (ASC), ADHD, and learning difficulties would be helpful in this role.

The school creates a positive and nurturing learning environment for all pupils. The right applicant will have a strong understanding of how to support pupils to overcome obstacles to learning and develop important life skills such as confidence, emotional regulation and managing their own behaviour.

The role is for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year. For the right candidate, the school would consider continuing the contract on a permanent basis from September.

SEN experience is not as important as passion and a willingness to be a positive and consistent role model.

The ideal candidate is:
*A team player, flexible and have a sense of humour
*Team Teach trained or positive restraint trained (preferred but not essential)
*Experienced working with Primary school children and with the national curriculum
*Emotionally resilient and understanding of SEMH needs
*Able to work alongside experienced SEMH TAs in a challenging behaviour environment

*Class sizes of 8-9 pupils with 1 teacher and 1-2 teaching assistants per class
