Tradewind is recruiting! We are looking to recruit a SEND TA with experience of working with pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour for a Secondary SEND school in Bath. Our client is an established special needs school within easy reach of public transport and motorway in Bath and caters for pupils in Secondary ages. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting pupils with SEMH and be available to work on a full-time basis from April 2021.

Previously successful candidates have included those with experience of working in a SEN and/or Secondary schools and working hours are 0830-1530 5 days a week.

You will be required to work closely with students and to ensure the pupils receive the support needed within the class as well as break times and offer 1:1 support.

The school is within easy reach if you have your own transport and or live close to Bath.

Must have:

• Special Educational Needs Experience in a care/school/PRU/Secondary setting
• Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people with behavioural issues
• Training in de-escalation

To join us and be successful in these teaching assistant positions you will need to:

 Have experience in working with SEMH.

Previous experience of managing challenging behavior and the use of Makaton and PECS.

 This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
