Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced SEMH specialist to in a secondary PRU. You must have a sports background and have an interest in working with SEMH and challenging behaviour pupils. The role starts ASAP and would be for the remainder of the academic year and into the next at a daily rate between £70 and £85 per day.

A highly regarded PRU school in Islington that specialises in working with pupils who have significant social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The school is a fantastic school with a strong senior leadership team who are supported by some excellent practitioners to work with SEMH pupils.

-Sports background is essential as you will be working both academically and in a sports capacity with the pupils working closely with the PE department
-You will work with a small group of 6-10 pupils each day in addition to your regular TA duties you will work closely with the PE team in sports such as football and basketball
-Experience working with SEMH pupils in a PRU setting is preferred but not essential.
-Staff will need to be able to think on their feet and work with energetic challenging pupils.
-Team Teach training would be an asset but not essential.

You will be working as a support staff member in a team and work in conjunction to the teacher providing academic support and assisting as a behaviour mentor to ensure pupils are engaged and learning. will work throughout the school providing additional support to those classes who need it most throughout the day.

Located in Islington the school has local bus and tube links however there is no parking on site or in the local area.
