Tradewind Recruitment are supporting a Wakefield Alternative Education Provision to recruit an SEN Maths Teacher. This full time role is available immediately and following an initial period working on a temporary basis, may be offered on a permanent basis.

The school would like to recruit an SEN Maths Teacher, experienced in, or comfortable working with secondary aged students with a variety of special needs, including social, emotional,mental health. These conditions can lead children to present challenging behaviour at times.

This 'Good' graded special needs provision, which caters for 40 students, is set within a pleasant, rural location. Class sizes are small and are structured to facilitate the implementation of students Individual Education Plans.

This could be your ideal next role if you are;
A qualified SEN Maths Teacher, comfortable teacher both at functional skills and foundation level, also to GCSE.
The ideal candidate must be experienced in, or comfortable working in an environment with students aged 11-18 years, with a variety of special needs, who present challenging behaviour.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable teaching in a challenging environment and be available for long term work, which may be offered on a permanent basis.

This role will include;
Teaching Maths from functional skills and foundation stage, to GCSE.
Preparing resources where required, although many resources are already in place across this school network.

Possible Permanent Contract (following an initial 12 week temporary period working through Tradewind Recruitment) the role will be Full time and working hours 08:30 -16:00.
