A small SEN school in Slough, is looking for an experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant or an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their school on a long-term and full-time basis. This small primary school in Slough and promotes diversity and equality for all pupils with a variation of learning abilities and children with SEMH. As a result of this, the school works endlessly to provide exceptional and equal lessons for all of their students.
The requirements for the experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant include:
*Passionate about SEMH and special educational needs
*Comfortable working 1:1
*Experience working with children is desirable
*An excellent and clear communicator
*Patient and able to build rapport with pupils
*Understanding and approachable
*Someone who possesses excellent literacy and numeracy knowledge
You will be responsible for:
*Providing children with support, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
*Assisting the children with their work; in particular, literacy and numeracy
*Following the child's IEP ensuring they work towards their targets
*Liaising with the SENCO and other support staff on a regular basis
