Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a teacher of SEN looking for a new role?
Tradewind are currently working with an excellent school in North Lincolnshire, who have recently opened an onsite inclusion unit, and are in need of a regular supply teacher who has experience with challenging behaviour. Students at the centre will have a range of complex needs, but the needs are mostly SEMH and behavioural. Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) experience is not necessary for this position, however it would be welcomed. The until supports a range of vocational subjects, and you will be working with students and supporting them on their journey back into the mainstream classroom. Initially we are just looking for teachers to work on an ad-hoc basis, but in the future there may be longer term positions that arise from this. You will not be expected to do any planning and marking for this position, and payment for this position will be between £120.00 and £130.00 per day. Looking for consistent figures for the students, who respond well to a nurturing practitioner, the unit are looking for one or two committed, available and talented individuals to provide consistency for the students. Ideally, we are looking for teachers who are available in the middle of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), who are free for pre-booked and spur of the moment 'morning calls'. As well as conventional teaching, you will be working with students during their 'down time', so don't be surprised if your day involves playing board games!
This is a new unit, focusing on providing a bespoke education for students who do not have access to the mainstream classroom. Providing vocational options not available to other students, it is design to reintegrate students into the classroom, and reinvigorate their love for education. Students attending the centre have a range of needs, mainly SEMH and behavioural, so we are looking for calm and nurturing practitioners to work with these students and aid them. The site is looking for regular teachers to work on supply, so this is a good opportunity for regular work.
