The school are willing to provide training to staff before handing them a classroom of their own. This is an exciting opportunity for a Mainstream trained teacher or a Special Needs Teacher to join an outstanding and a leader school of special education.

The school are looking for a compassionate, keen and caring individual to join the team to support 5 pupils with autism. Your day as a Special Needs Teacher will depend entirely on how you support the children and work with a lovely team of support staff. There really are no limits to the interests, passions, hobbies and activities that the students we support enjoy.

It is key for this role that you are positive and enjoy having a laugh. The pupils you will be supporting are an active bunch and enjoy various leisure and activities in the community - including swimming, for example. Please ensure you can commit to this role, as reliability for the students you will be supporting is a key factor. They require stability and need support in accessing activities to allow them to achieve their full potential.
The Teacher would:
*Work with pupils who have autism and complex learning difficulties
*Helping all students enjoy their learning and get as much out of life as they can
*Identify challenges and ensure that the pupils learn
*Support pupils with communication skills
*Help pupils develop their communication and life skills

The Teacher we require should have:
*Experience working within Primary
*Experience in using behaviour techniques within a classroom
*Knowledge of teaching range Ks1 and Ks2
*Must be Caring, Adaptable and highly intuitive

To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teacher role you will need to:
*Hold QTS status, QTLS status or equivalent overseas teaching qualification
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
