SEN Teaching Assistant In Bath
Tradewind is recruiting! We are looking to recruit a SEND TA with experience of working with pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour for a Primary SEND school in Bath.
Our client is an established special needs school within easy reach of public transport and motorway in Bath and caters for pupils in Primary ages. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting pupils with Autism and be available to work on a part-time basis from September 9th 2018.
Previously successful candidates have included those with experience of working in a SEN and/or Primary schools with resource bases. Starting pay rate is £65 per day, and working hours are 0830-1530 3 days a week.
You will be required to work closely with students on the Autistic Spectrum and to ensure the pupils receive the support needed within the class as well as break times and offer 1:1 support.
The school is within easy reach if you have your own transport and or live close to Bath.
-Special Educational Needs Experience in a care/school/PRU/Primary setting
-Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people on the spectrum
-Training in Autism and Makaton and PECS

To join us and be successful in these teaching assistant positions you will need to:
* Have experience in working with Autism.
Previous experience of managing challenging behavior and the use of Makaton and PECS.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
