Tradewind are currently recruiting for an outstanding Primary Teaching Assistant to join a very popular school in Darwen to support year 5/6 SEN children. The role is to start in February 2021 until July 2021, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
This 1-form entry Church of England Primary School prides itself on the exceptional behaviour of the children and is passionate about providing children with the skills and enthusiasm for Secondary School. They provide a safe, happy and well-disciplined learning environment and have a supportive SLT. The school make a positive contribution to life within the local community. This Primary school caters for approx. 240 pupils across ages 4-11 and has a very nurturing environment.
This Primary School is looking for an experienced Year 5/6 Primary Teaching Assistant to work in a very small year 5/6 class with a maximum of 12 children. All the children within the class have varying degrees of SEN, this includes ADHD, Autism, Challenging Behaviour and SEMH. The school is extremely welcoming, and the staff work effectively together and with other schools in the area. It is important that the successful teacher has good behaviour management.
The ideal candidate for this Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant role will:
- Be Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualified or equivalent
- Have experience working within SEN
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
