SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a two-form entry Primary School in Norden, Rochdale to start in June until the Summer 2020. This is a full time, long-term role with a salary of £60 per day.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:

*Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification
*Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
*Have the legal right to work in the UK

We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf on a caring, happy and friendly school in Norden, Rochdale. This is an effective school where all the staff are committed to preparing children for a lifelong journey of discovering and learning. Children at this school typically start school below the level of those expected for their age, and by the time they leave in Year 6, the proportion of children who reach the expected standard or better I English and in Mathematics is above the national average.

The school is based in Norden, Rochdale and is accessible via car or bus.

About the role

This primary school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their Year 4 class. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and experience of working with children with an EHC Plan.

The role itself will involve supporting a child within the schools Year 4 class who requires extra support. The child has some behavioural challenges and so the school have requested that the successful Teaching Assistant has good behaviour management skills and have the ability to remain firm but fair.
